Michael F. Hays, RA, CCS, AIA
Michael is one of the founding partners and oversees all architectural projects acting as the partner-in-charge. After graduating from Wentworth Institute with a BS in Architecture in 1981, he continued his study through the Construction Specifications Institute and received certification in 1987; followed by Licensure in the State of Maine in 1989 and more recently from the State of New York in 2011. He has also acted as a board member and then President of the Maine chapter of the construction specifications institute from 1989 to 1993. He supports his local community through involvement with the Maine State Ballet, where he contributes professional services, architectural expertise and has been an active board member from 2007 – 2011.
Brenda Grant-Hays, CID, NCIDQ, MIDA
Brenda is one of the founding partners overseeing all interior design and space planning projects. After graduating in 1980 from Wentworth Institute with an AAS in Architecture, she interned as an Architect for 12 years before focusing her talent as an Interior Designer; receiving national certification by NCIDQ in 1989, and in 1995, becoming one of Maine’s first Certified Interior Designers. Brenda also has design experience in the principles of Feng Shui and is the principal author of Color in Small Spaces published by McGraw-Hill in 2003. She has most recently participated in the “Women @ Wentworth” celebration as one of their esteemed guest speakers.
Grant Hays Associates is supported by several independent contractors for all CAD services – and since each works exclusively with GHA, they become an integral part of the design team for every project.
